Tuesday morning’s chapel on September 7th kicked off SAGU’s 2010 “Spiritual Saturation.” Spiritual Saturation is a week of special spiritual emphasis with extended chapel times and special guest speakers. SAGU AIC is committed to fostering spiritual formation among students that produces life-long spiritual growth and character development. Regular chapel services, as well as times of special emphases, are a vital part of the spiritual atmosphere at SAGU.

During Spiritual Saturation, class schedules are altered to allow for longer chapel services. The week also includes special evening services. Held at the beginning of the school year, these extended times of spiritual emphasis allow students to press into God’s presence and gain perspective and focus for the remainder of the year.

District Youth Directors of surrounding districts are on the SAGU AIC campus this week as special guests. Chapel speakers for this year’s emphasis include Marty Burroughs, Jay Mooney, Jon Catron, Chris Murdoch, Terry Allen, and Michael Fernandez.

Arkansas DYD Dane Hall spoke in the opening chapel Tuesday morning. Hall spoke from 2 Samuel 6 and admonished students to “Focus on the Presence of God” in their daily lives.
