Position Overview
Instructor in Business to serve full-time at SAGU American Indian College’s campus in Phoenix, Arizona.

  • Copies of transcripts from all higher education institutions (must be from a regionally accredited school). During preliminary interviews these transcripts may be photocopied. As candidacy formalizes, there will be a need for genuine official transcripts.
  • A 3-5-page excerpt of a research paper done for any graduate level work, Master’s Thesis, Doctoral Dissertation, or other published writings.
  • A written expression of your philosophy of Christian Higher Education.
  • 3 Letters of reference for the applicant; along with a Pastoral reference from current church attending
  • If applicant is a credentialed minister, a statement from the district secretary confirming the applicant’s credential in in good standing must be submitted with the application.

Time Frame

2021-2022 Academic Year (Anticipated start August 2021)


Responsibilities

The position is a full-time (9 month) appointment in the Department of Business within the College of Business and Education at SAGU. Candidates will teach 24 credit hours in an academic year in the undergraduate programs in face-to-face modalities with the possibility of online instruction as well. In addition to teaching, the position requires the applicant to serve as the program coordinator for the Business program (for the SAGU AIC campus) and advisor/mentor in addition to program assessment and committee work.


Qualifications
  • A minimum of an MBA with preference for a Ph.D. or DBA in the field of Business, Management, Finance, Marketing, or Accounting
  • A commitment to academic excellence and spiritual vitality is necessary, with faculty innovation and creativity highly valued
  • Faith, mission and community lifestyle standards that meets University expectations.
  • Evidence of successful marketplace experience.
  • Willingness to embrace and support SAGU’s core values of servant leadership.
  • Active participation in a local Assemblies of God church preferred. All faculty are expected to subscribe to the doctrinal teachings of the Assemblies of God.
  • Established teaching abilities, clear communication skills, and knowledge of subject area.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with colleagues, staff, administration, and students in a cross-cultural setting with a majority population of Native American students.
  • Adaptability to change and innovation.

Salary commensurate with experience and the current salary scale.
