Food Service Manager
SAGU American Indian College is currently taking applications for a Food Service Manager.SAGU AIC is affiliated and in partnership with Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas. We are an Assemblies of God institution and all applicants must be willing to subscribe to a statement of faith for final consideration in addition to professional and academic requirements.
Job Purpose
Oversee the Cafeteria and Kitchen. Provide meals for the students, staff, and faculty seven days a week during the fall and spring semesters. Manage and work alongside kitchen staff and student workers.
Job Description
The food service manager’s daily responsibilities include:
o Operating a full-service school cafeteria, providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
o Hiring and training at least 2 full time kitchen staff who will cook meals.
o Hiring and training at least 5 student workers who will be responsible for cleaning and small salad bar and meal preparation.
o Creating menus for the week and throughout the school year.
o Ordering food and supplies for the kitchen.
o Being able to be a line cook for made to order meals.
o Creating schedules for the kitchen staff and student workers.
Qualifications:
o Knowledge of proper food rotation, handling, and storage.
o Must have a Food Service Manager Certification through Maricopa County
o Food Service Manager Experience recommended
Availability:
Beginning in August 2023. 9 month position (August-May).
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience.
