Phoenix, AZ - April 25, 2018 - At the recent Arizona Ministry Network meeting,  two graduates of SAGU AIC received their ministerial credentials. Bree Posey (Navajo) works as a youth pastor under the supervision of Pastor Joel Cornelius of Tuba City Assembly of God. Pastor Bree is a 2016 graduate of SAGU AIC. During her time as a student, she was active in ministry outreach activities.

Tony Rivera, a Fall 2017 graduate of SAGU AIC was also licensed at the Arizona Ministry Network meeting. A four-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Pastor Tony is the Assistant Pastor at Journey by Grace and works under the leadership of Pastor (Dr.) Rachel Valasquez who is also the Adult Education & Outreach Pastor at Harvest Church in Glendale, Arizona. Pastor Tony is also this year’s Sigma Chi Pi recipient for SAGU AIC and will be recognized at this year’s commencement. The Sigma Chi Pi award is given to a limited number of outstanding graduates who display distinction in service, academics, and their spiritual life.

Pastor Steve Funston (Navajo) is a 1994 graduate of (then) AIC and is presently serving as the Lead Pastor at Living Waters Church in Carson, New Mexico. Pastor Steve, a licensed minister for a number of years, was ordained to the ministry at the recent New Mexico Ministry Network meeting held in Casa del Rey, New Mexico.
