Phoenix April 24, 2019: SAGU American Indian College Women’s coach Ty Wilson has been busy traveling east to El Paso, TX , north to Page, AZ and many other places as well. Coach Wilson has been recruiting players for SAGU American Indian College Women’s basketball program that will be starting their first year as an NCCAA program. Among the notable signees: from the State Champion Page High School (Page, AZ) Lady Sand Devil’s Amy Yellowman (SG), Fabens High School (El Paso, TX) Lady Wildcats Victoria Cruz (Semper Fidelis TX State Player of the Year /SF), Maryvale High School (Phoenix, AZ) Lady Panthers Neridia Cabanillas Duran (SG), San Carlos High School (San Carlos, AZ) Lady Braves Beyoncé Cutter (First Team All-State AZ/SG), South Mountain Community College (Phoenix, AZ) Lady Cougars Manda Perkins (SF), Desert Heights Prep (Phoenix, AZ) Lady Coyotes Taia Williams (PF), and from South Point High School (Phoenix, AZ) Lady Griffons Deshayla Johnson (First Team All-State AZ/PG).

“These seven young ladies carry the qualities on and off the court that will set our program’s foundation for the next four years.” explains Coach Wilson. On Saturday April 27, 2019 The Lady Warrior’s coach has a signing ceremony set up with Dakota Autumn (PG) from Holbrook High School (Holbrook, AZ) Lady Roadrunners at The Scott Activity Center on the SAGU American Indian College campus bringing the total of new Lady Warriors signed to eight (8).

SAGU American Indian College men’s and women’s basketball programs will open their season October 18, 2019 at 7 pm, Home at The Scott Activity Center against Tohono O’odham Community College from Sells, AZ.
