Spring Enrollment IncreasesWaxahachie, TX – February 17, 2011 – Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) reached its fourth consecutive spring enrollment increase, on the heels of its fourth consecutive record fall enrollment. Total on-campus enrollment increased 6 percent compared to Spring 2010, with notable growth among graduate students.

Spring 2011 marks the highest spring enrollment in SAGU’s 84-year history. Additionally, it represents a 25% increase in spring enrollment since 2007 (Spring 2007 – 1,548; Spring 2008 – 1,738; Spring 2009 – 1,831; Spring 2010 – 1,893; Spring 2011 – 1,939). Students propelled SAGU AIC to its highest enrollment this past fall when 2,064 students enrolled.

SAGU’s Harrison School of Graduate Studies set a record enrollment this semester with an 11 percent increase. Graduate Director of Student Relations Dan Shong states, “The Graduate School is planning for an enrollment increase of 60 percent within the next four years.” Availability of graduate distance education and the new Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership are direct contributors to the graduate school’s growth.
