Phoenix, AZ – December 17, 2018 – SAGU American Indian College Athletic Director Paul LaBate announced the hiring of Tylon Wilson to lead the inaugural season of Lady Warrior Basketball.

Coach Wilson has coached competitive basketball for over 20 years, and has built West Phoenix High School into the Perennial powerhouse it has become over the past 8 seasons. In addition to leading West Phoenix to 6 straight playoff berths and a state championship appearance coach Wilson has a 96% graduation rate with his student athletes. While serving as the head varsity basketball coach he is also a City of Phoenix police officer and a veteran of the US Navy. Coach Wilson is the parent of 4 children Isaac, Ayanna, Zaria, and Xavien. Amongst his passion for coaching he is also a member of the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the East Valley and the CEO of The Tymar Foundation, which is a homeless veteran rehabilitation program. Coach Wilson looks forward to this next chapter as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach for SAGU American Indian College.
