david picDavid DeGarmo has served as the President of AIC since 2009. He is an ordained minister and Assemblies of God U.S. Missionary with appointment to Native American Ministries. Before arriving at AIC, Dr. DeGarmo served in pastoral ministry for twenty years. He has earned the Doctor of Ministry (Assemblies of God Theological Seminary), Master of Divinity (Northern Baptist Theological Seminary), and Bachelor of Music (Evangel University).

Prior to his election as President, Dr. DeGarmo served the College as Executive President, Chief Academic Officer, and Christian Ministry Department Chair.

Dr. and Mrs. Ruth DeGarmo are the parents of two daughters and one son.

Dr. Joseph J. Saggio - VICE-PRESIDENT FOR ACADEMIC AFFAIRS

Joe Staggio - Vp Academic AffairsDr. Joseph J. Saggio serves as the Vice-President for Academic Affairs at American Indian College (since October 2011) where he also served previously from 1994-2008.  Prior to his return to AIC, Dr. Saggio served at Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington from 2008-2010 as Associate Dean for Graduate Studies.

During his first tenure at AIC he served from 1994-2006 as Academic Dean and then from 2006- 2008 Dr. Saggio held appointment as the Dean of Institutional Assessment and Chair of General Education. During his time at AIC he also taught as a faculty member in Christian Ministry and Education.  Dr. Saggio also served as the founding Phoenix Branch Campus Director for the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary based in Springfield, Missouri and as an adjunct professor from 2005- 2008.  He also continues to serve as an adjunct professor for Northwest University in their M.A. in Missional Leadership program.

Dr. Saggio received his B.A. in Speech Communication cum laude from California State University, Fresno; his M.A. in Religion from Azusa Pacific University; a second M.A. in Religion from Vanguard University of Southern California.  He received his Ed.D. in Higher and Adult Education from Arizona State University in 2000, and completed the Management Development Program (post-doctoral studies) at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education in Cambridge, Massachusetts in Summer 2003.

As a U.S. Missions historian and missionary educator, Dr. Saggio’s specific research interest center around issues related to cultural and ethnic diversity as well as Native Americans in both American higher education and missions.  He is especially interested in the interrelationship between postmodernity, contemporary culture, spirituality, and the church.  Dr. Saggio has contributed to a number of publications in Higher Education, Theology, and Business including: The Review of Higher Education, Christian Higher Education: A Journal of Applied Research and Practice, Encounter: A Journal for Pentecostal Ministry, Pneuma: The Journal of the Society for Pentecostal Studies, and DiversityBusiness.com  He is the senior editor of American Indian College: A Witness to the Tribes, (Gospel Publishing House, 2008) that chronicles the first fifty years of American Indian College.  He is also a review editor for the online International Journal of Multi-Cultural Education.  Dr. Saggio is listed in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Education, Strathmore’s Who’s Who, as well as America’s Registry of Outstanding Professionals.  He has spoken at over 350 churches around the world and at educational and theological conferences and lectures at colleges and universities on issues related to Native Americans in higher education and missions, as well as policy issues that impact ethnic minority students.

Concurrent with his role at American Indian College, Dr. Saggio continues to serve as an ordained minister and nationally appointed US Missionary to Native Americans with the General Council of the Assemblies of God.  He and his wife Nancy, a licensed professional counselor and anxiety coach, have two grown daughters: Rachelle Owens (married to Brandon Owens) and Leah Nicole Saggio. They also have a granddaughter, Kyree Leona Owens who is two years old.

Rev. Vince Roubideaux - EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF STUDENT SERVICES

Vince Roubideaux has served as Executive Director of Student Services since July 2006. He is an Ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God and is registered with the Shoshone-Paiute Tribe from Owyhee, Nevada (Duck Valley Indian Reservation)

Before arriving at AIC, Vince Roubideaux served in pastoral ministry for sixteen years. He has earned Bachelor of Christian Ministries (American Indian College), Associate of Social Studies (American Indian College) and currently studying Masters of Substance Abuse Counseling (Ottawa University).

Vince has worked jobs from Youth home Director, behavioral coach, football coach, directing an ESL program, Chairperson for Economic Development and Chairperson for the Johnson O’Malley program.

Rev. and Mrs. Jennifer Roubideaux are the parents of three daughters and two sons.

Rev. Paul Henning, Executive Director Of Financial Services

Paul G. Henning has recently joined AIC in May 2010. He is an ordained Assemblies of God minister with the Arizona District and serves as Secretary Treasurer for the Northwest Valley Sectional.

He has a Bachelors degree in Pastoral Studies and a certificate of completion from the Evangelical Teachers Training Association.

Prior to coming to AIC, Paul has served as an associate pastor in several capacities including Executive Administrative Pastor here in Arizona. He has also worked as an executive for 16 years in corporate America with numerous companies.

Paul and his Wife Barbara have been married 27 years and have one daughter.
