Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
The FSEOG is a federally funded grant program that you do not repay. It is only awarded to undergraduate students who are Federal Pell Grant eligible and have exceptional need. Once the money is depleted no more awards will be made. Students having filed their FAFSA by April 1 will be given first priority.
Who: Undergraduates with demonstrated need. Must be a Pell Grant recipient.
How Much: Up to $700 per academic year as determined by federal allocation
How Long: While pursuing first undergraduate degree
How to Apply: Complete FAFSA annually
Deadline: April 1
Other: Subject to availability of funds
Federal Pell Grant
The Federal Pell Grant is a federally funded grant program that you do not repay. The amount awarded is based on your federal eligibility and number of hours enrolled at the 100% drop/add period.
Who: Undergraduates with demonstrated need
How Much: Up to $5,550 per academic year (2010-2011)
How Long: While pursuing first undergraduate degree
How to Apply: Complete FAFSA annually
Deadline: No deadline
Other: Amount based on federal guidelines and allocations
