On May 2, 2014 American Indian College held its spring commencement in the Scott Activity Center on campus. Twelve graduates received their degrees that evening and several hundred were on hand to congratulate them. Some have already received some exciting job opportunities as a result of their recently completed education. For example, Michael Balcerek (Navajo) who finished his B.A. in Elementary Education is now a 6th grade in Cameron, Arizona on the Navajo Reservation. Manuel Torres, also an Elementary Education graduate, was offered a teaching job at the school he had just completed his student teaching. Rev. David Fowler (Hoh Indian) is stepping into the role of Associate Pastor, working under his senior pastor, Rev. George Kallappa on the Hoh River Reservation in western Washington. Gary Miller (Navajo) who graduated with an A.A. in Business is now working full-time in the Enrollment Office at AIC and is continuing in his work towards a B.A. in Christian Ministry. Needless to say, we are proud of all of our graduates!
